get your letter to-day & to hear you
are all fairly well for the last few
days I have not been able to get
you all off my mind & last night
I had such a horrible dream of
you being ill it was so realistic
I woke up crying & could not get
to sleep wondering how you all were
I just longed to be at home & am
longing for the day. But things
are brighter again now after your
letter & I have also had one
from Tommy which cheered me
up to hear he is alright again

Dick’s getting laid up again.
Yes it is splendid if Greece 2 really does join in with us – any
thing to end this war, how I
long for that day. I shall not
write very much to-day as I am
feeling rather depressed so would
only write the wrong kind of
letter. Did I ever tell you we had a
Tennis Tournament on Saturday last
with the Officers from the Bombing
School which is quite near here
it was really a great success &
they all seemed to enjoy it very
much. Yesterday I had my half
day so went up to see Paul who
has gone to Lady Griffiths for a weeks
chance she was rather knocked
up & needs a change. I am glad to say I am feeling
very well now & hope to continue
to do so. I shall have to get 3 you to send me out some warmer
combination fairly soon as it is
getting very cold here also a few
white tight bodices as mine have
gone into ribbons with the heat.
Also would you send me a black
South Western as we get so wet
walking between the Tents in fact
sometimes it is nearly necessary
to wear them inside. We have filled up again but
we are not nearly so busy as
we were & are able to get our
regulars off time I am still
in the Gas Poisoning Tents & find
it very interesting work our M. U.
is so good & conscientious over
his work & has made a special
study on how to treat thes[e] gas
cases. Did F. Eaton want you for any
thing important when he rang you 4 up. I sincerely hope Violet will
brook much better after her change
it is toobad about poor Uncle
Frank I must try & write to
him some day soon. I also hope
you were able to get to some
decision about Jack _ it really is
more difficult to know what is the
best. I tell you what I should love
to see & that is a copy of
Muaros dispatches in which Charlie
is mentioned as I never saw
it. Also if the Photos are home of
me will you send me out two
you might send one to Mrs Garttan
I think she would like one instead
of the awful old one she has of
me I shall write & tell her to tear
the old one up. With my fondest 5 love to every one at home

oftener even if it is only a
car to say how every thing
is. & what she is doing. Do you know if Granny ever
got my letter. I am afraid I
shall never be forgiven there
however it does not really worry
me I like her just the same &
am very sorry to hear she is
laid up & hope she is better.
