Dear Mamma I was glad to see
your letter this morning. I think
Lucie must have forgotten to post
the one I wrote you last Sunday
or you would have got it before
24th (the Oric on John). Ms Bell
will not be back till the end
of this week or the beginning of
next (4th-6th) so I shall more
likely stay on till then and then go
to Eastbourne. I shall let you
know when I arrive there. The
cold here is frightful, everything
frozen hard. The water freezing 2
in the jugs in the house! I have
been playing golf nearly every
day but this frost will stop it. This plain Higgins may have head
off the Home enough from the Cavlers
who know them in the Isle of
Wight. For we lack a litte
science but I am One at the
counter now. Best love to
