morning, looking very well.
He wired & telephoned to you
to meet him for lunch. but
had no reply. I suppose you
had gone to Boad. He will be in London on
next Friday again: perhaps
you could arrange to meet
someway. It is a joy to
have him for a few days. We were at Wolfhill yester—
day: we went for a walk,
but the usual rain came
on. They are feeling very
dreary. Naturally and I 2 am sorry for both. Old Aunt Elizabeth is dying,
I had post a card from
Mrs Morris and she gave no
particulars, but said she
was unconscious and slept
most of the time. Under the
circumstances, I saw no good
in going. but told her to
inform Aunt E's . if
she was in correspondence
with them. I have heard no
more and suppose she may
linger for a day or two, poor
old lady! We were at a musical at home
at Mrs on Thursday:
the usual people. Mrs
P. Cott. Higgins had a solemn
colloquy with me about
Dorothy. He was afraid we
might think they had spread
the news of her engagement.
Mr Horburgh had spoken to
Mrs Cadell, so it was all out

a young cook who turned
up and hope to get her
settled in soon, but she is
reported noisy. and has not
been in good places. They
are very scarce, and I want
a cheap one. there times.
I suppose you are just
plodding along, I fear having

Dorothy is swithering as to what
to do. Colonel Damet has
just informed her that no
V.A.Ds get paid anything 5 until after three years full
training! Such is
the knowledge he possesses!
