Letter from J. Smith Wright to Edward O'Farrell, 5 June 1916.
1
R.N Barracks, Chatham, 5.6.16 9249. Dear Sir, I received the enclosed
this morning. I venture to think
that if the Lords Justices have
really had my original letter
brought to their notice, that there
can be no two opinions about the
matter and that I have an
undoubted claim for consideration. I should be obliged if my
original letter could be the subject
of reconsideration, as I ful 2 sure that no fair minded person
could possibly say that I am
not entitled to any compensation.
I am, Sir,
your obedient servant J.Smith Wright
Lt Comm R.N. The Under Secretary Dublin Castle Ack. and state
that his letter of
the 3rd ultimatum was
before their Excellencies
who regret to be unable
to add anything to the
reply send to him on the
2nd instant & herewith redeem that
reply.
