This is a letter from J. Smith Wright, Lieutenant Commander of the Royal Navy, to Edward O'Farrell (1857-1926), the assistant under-secretary for Ireland. The letter refers to compensation Wright wishes to receive, but was rejected. He requests that he is considered again. The letter notes an attachment that has since been lost.

I venture to think that if the Lords Justices have really had my original letter brought to their notice, that there can be no two opinions about the matter and that I have an undoubted claim for consideration.
