A letter from John Condon to Sir Robert Chalmers (1858-1938), Under-Secretary for Ireland, indicating his willingness to accept the post of Clerk of Crown and Peace for County Westmeath at a reduced salary and that he has already advised Ignatius John O’Brien (1857-1930), the Lord Chancellor, of this fact. Accompanying this letter is a note dated 21 June 1916, from the Home Office to Condon acknowledging his letter of 17 June 1916.
