1 Nov 30th 1915/date> Dear Katie. I received the Breeches
& Putters alright this morning.
Unfortunatly they are the wrong
ones. You know the riding
Breeches with no strapping
they are partly a kakhi
colour. The Putters will
hardly do you can get a
good thick pair in Dublin
You can get them where you
got the Numerals & send them
on. It will send back the
others when I get them 2 The sort of thing Piequet
Duty in as follows. We go
on Duty at 4.30. until 6.00
next morning. We have to be
on the watch two hours at
a time minding the Horses
The night I was on duty I
was out from 6.00. until 8.00
& then again from 12.00 until 2.00
We have to see that nothing
happens the Horses during the
night. It is a lonesome
job. I am glad poor old
Barney is alive still I hope
he lives until I see him
again. 2) I got a letter from Chris
Mulan this morning which
I enclose. He is going on
well thank God. I have
found out the name of the
Col. It is John Harvey
He must be an Irishman
by his name. You can
show Chris Mulans letter
to his mother. John Mulan
is in England still. The
little dog was with me
the night I was on Piquet
Duty he is a nice little fellow
I suppose Paddy goes up
often to you I hope he does
