Deceased Dear Fr. Nolan, I have this day receiving a letter from
the war office as follows:- 'Sir
'In reference to your letter of the 23rd
'ultimo, I am directed to transmit to you the accompanying
'Certificate regarding the death of the Reverend
'Fitzgibbon, M,G, temporary Chaplain to the forces,
'3rd Class, and to add that the further subjects mentioned
'in your letter are receiving attention.
'I am, Sir,Your obedient Servant,

'for the Secretary' I must now await hearing from them further
as to the arrears of pay to the date of death; the gratuity;
(if any) payable at death, and the kit, I have the papers
ready for swearing but require the information as to
