The letter from Irish Prisoner of War number 1129 clarifies a request made of a Mrs Ginnell for a strong bag, acknowledges receipt of stamps and makes reference to the well being of the prisoners. From the Art Ó Briain Papers held in the National Library of Ireland. NLI records indicate that MS 8434 /23 is a collection (13 items) of letters from prisoners in Frongoch and Reading jails. Art Ó Briain (1872-1949) was Honorary Secretary of The Irish National Relief Fund which was set up to provide assistance to the dependents of those executed in 1916, those sentenced to prison and to the prisoners themselves. According to the 1936 Roll of Honour, James O' Dwyer was a member of the Irish Citizen Army and served at the Stephen's Green Garrison.
