you. Some months ago in travelling around here
doing Locum my box in which were my
diplomas was lost. I have hopelessly failed
to find it. As I am settling here in a
practice I shall want a copy if it is
at all possible to procure some. As I shall need the copies in two weeks
time I hope you will please do what you
can in the matter. I am sorry to see by "B.M.J" that
Dear Dr White has passed away. You
shall miss him so much. Thanking you in anticipation & again
apologising for thus troubling you. I am Dear Sir

Letter from Charles Murray asking if the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI) could possibly send two replacement copies of his diplomas, which he lost while working as a locum. Murray also expresses his regret upon hearing of the death of Dr White and extends his sympathy. The letter has been initialled by Ephraim MacDowel Cosgrave (1853-1925). Cosgrave served as president of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland in 1914 and held the position until 1916. Aside from his dedication to medicine Cosgrave was also a member of the Royal Society of Antiquities of Ireland, treasurer of the Royal Zoological Society of Ireland and a founder and secretary of the Georgian Society of Dublin.
