the present address of Mrs Martinson
and of Mr J Wesley Berns. The ones in
Membership Book are incorrect?
(Sargent's is also incorrect) I did not see Mrs Quinn last week,
but I wrote asking her for a prize or cash
donation. She gave 2/6 today — it is in
the Safe — it is better than nothing! I left a cake for Mrs. Tinsley and some
more jumbles. I wrote to Mrs.

Please let me know when the Dance Tickets
(ordered them last Saturday) are sent in. We have been obliged
to postpone moving until next week
as our landlady wrote at last moment to
say repairs were not finished owing to

This letter to Hanna Sheehy Skeffington (1877-1946) concerns a different number of arrangements including obtaining the correct address for various members, collecting prize and cash donations and dance tickets. Hanna Sheehy Skeffington, suffragette, nationalist, language teacher, was the widow of Francis Sheehy-Skeffington (who was summarily executed on 26 April 1916). She was active during the Rising, bringing food to the Volunteers in the G.P.O. and the College of Surgeons. Four days passed before she found out what had happened to her husband, Francis (1878-1916), and it wasn't until almost two weeks later that the full details of his execution emerged.
