A letter from John Nevin to the Longford Urban District Council in which Nevin asks for his yearly allocation of funds for clothes as the weather is becoming very cold. John Nevin (b. 1866) was the Town Sergeant for Longford. The Longford Urban District Council was the towns local authority and was renamed the Longford Town Council in 2002.
