A letter Mr Mooney to his sister Katie Mooney, 20 December 1915

5th (b) Reserve Brigade R.F.A
Ballincollig. Dec 19 20 1915 Dear Katie, A few things I want
you to send me when you
go to Dublin are the following
tooth powder and the usual
tobbaco & two pair of
Pumerals & of course the
socks & Putties. I will
be glad to have some of
the Christmas pudding.
It will be something from
home. 2 Did Tommy have a ride on
the motor bike since I
hope it is in good order
still. I am sure the kitchen
is grand now also the
lobby. I will not know
the place when I get home.
We are having a hard
frost now. I suppose poor
old Barry will run away
from me when he next sees
me. I nearly forgot to ask for
little Lot. I have no
more to say at present so
Good—Bye & God Bless you
all. 3 5th (b) Reserve Brigade R.F.A
