faculties necessary in order that
any or all of the Down & Connor
students may receive the Orders
to which they are called. Moreover, in the case of Messrs
O Hare and Bradley, Fourth
Divines, I grant faculties
for Priesthood, and in the case
of the Parson and Mr Crossan,

faculties for Deaconship and
Priesthood. I trust the Coun.
cil will see its way to allow
these four to be ordained Priests
at the general ordination,
as I shall need them. I have just returned here
from a Confirmation campaign

Letter from Joseph MacRory (1861-1945), bishop of Down and Connor, to John F. Hogan
(1858-1918), a priest, author and president of St Patrick's College, Maynooth.
In this letter MacRory grants the canonical faculties for the students from Down and
Connor to be ordained into their religious orders. MacRory also states that he has
returned from a confirmation campaign.
