Gilmartin D.D. at 3. Herbert St Dublin
on April 29 rd .. 1919.
Fr. O'Flanagan, who had been elected Vice President of Sinn Féin in October 1917,
had been suspended by Bishop Coyne in June 1918 for canvasing for his fellow VP, Arthur
Griffith. This note was given to the mediator Rev Dr. Gilmartin of Tuam who was interceding
on behalf of O'Flanagan.
