P41/24/6 Main St.,
Ballybofey, Saturday A Cara At Rose O’Donnell’s request
I am writing you this note — she is imprisoned
this last few weeks. It was I wrote the
letter to your mother in her name as she
directed me to do the evg. she was arrested.
I suppose you did not remark the difference
in the handwriting as we write rather much
alike. Up until a week ago they were not
allowed any communication with the outside
world, though she managed to get a few
letters out to me on the sly. I got the last one
you sent to her & managed to get it into
her alright. Then I did not know whether
to ans. it or not until I rec. a letter from
2
her today asking me to write to you & to
say she would be very pleased to hear
from you, they are only allowed to write &
rec one letter per week & likely it would
be some time until you would get a reply. I am just after being told
that the Lady prisoners are going to be
removed to Dublin but you can write to
the enclosed address & if they are removed early
they will send it on. Or if you wish to ans.
this letter. I will write again & let you know. Yrs sincerely
