7/10 Bishop's House,
Queenstown. 22nd Jan 1916 My Dear President You say the subscription for
the Whitehead Memorial grave-
stone need not be large -
in fact - that it be small.
Put me down for what will
meet your idea of a not large
subscription and I will pay. It is very generous, I
, entirely too generous,
of you to pay out of your
own pocket so large a
sum for repairing defective
walls of the College Chapel
2
This ought not to be. The structures of the college
must be kept in good
repair by College funds. It was a different thing
when we were building
up the structure &
furnishing it. Delighted to hear that
all goes well - you need
patience in your office,
and patience will bear away
the victory ultimately - Yours faithfully
Robert Browne
Bp. of Clyne Right Rev
Mgr. Hogan
