This is a letter from Robert Browne (1844–1935), bishop of Cloyne and a former president of St Patrick's College, Maynooth. The letter is addressed to John Francis Hogan (1858–1918), priest, author, and president of St Patrick's College. This letter concerns a proposed subscription of the Whitehead memorial grave and Hogan's paying for the upkeep of the chapel in Maynooth from his own funds.
