Letter from Patrick English to Kate English, c. June 1916
never mentioned it in any of your
letters. Frongoch is not to bad a place at
all only for the rain it would be all
right we get tea morning and evening
and a good dinner so you need not
worry about me I am all right Mick
Cosgrove is going on splendid so are
all the boys that I know here we sleep
in Huts thirty in each hut and I see by
your letter you have a good job waiting
for me whenever I'll get home which
of course you know will come some time
they not going to keep us forever? 2 I think I have told you all the news for
the present hoping you are keeping
quite strong and all at home also all
the long tailed faimley so I must
say good night for this time I am
just think about getting down my
bunk and if you are realy made
up your mind to come I wont stop you
but under the present circustancesit
would be foolish and a waste of money
but you can rest assured I am all right I remain your fond son
