Letter from Cis M. Coyle to James Ryan, 2 July 1916
. received yesterday morning
for which many thanks.
You are I presume in
Frongoch by this time
and I hope you find
the change pleasant I know you can write
but one letter per week
now and of course you
will send that one home 2 naturally, but I will
write to you all the same
and when Michael is
writing home if he says
how you are etc. his sister
will let me know. She &
I are great friends. I am
expecting a letter from Liam
I wonder he has not
written. I don't know what
are the rules of the camps,
& are you allowed to
smoke? I wonder do you
know a friend of mine
Peter Moran only a day
or two ago I found out
that he had been in 3 Stafford. I thought he was
in Wandsworth and asked
Liam to look him up. He
is now in Frongoch. The
Councillor is laid up
with influenza in Wandsworth
but I suppose he will
join you later on. It
will be quite a
meeting for you all. I
am glad your sister has
been to see you, a visit
from home must be a
great treat to you at
present. I want you to
look up S. Donnelly
Wexford St. I don't know him
but his brother is a friend 4
of mine and some of them
may be going over to Wales
later on. If so I will get
them to see my friends
also. I am told that you
have the use of a piano
in Camp & that you have
concerts amongst yourselves
Is it true I wonder. If
it is ask Peter Moran to
sing a few ?comic? songs
for you. Tell Liam to
write to me & tell Michael
I was enquiring for him.
I will write again when
I hear some news from the
Camp. Kindest regards
from all. Very Sincerely Yours Cis M.Coyle
