more information, but I do know that the
Ulster division has not suffered so much as
two other divisions which were reported as
badly cut up — From first hand information
the man who gave it me being actually on
the spot on the H.Q Staff, I can tell you
that General Nugent has won very high
praise for the magnificent way he handled
his division which did splendidly — They did
all that was wanted of them & went further
than they needed. And it was owing to the
care & judgement of your husband they did 2 so well. You will be glad to hear all the Chiefs
are very satisfied with the state of affairs,
and everything is most promising. I find it difficult to get away, but
if I can, I shall be delighted to
come & see you one afternoon if I may.
