Local Government Board,
Dublin. Dear Sir, The President and Fellows of the Royal College of
Physicians of Ireland are anxious that a Midwives Bill for

to offer a suitable opportunity for attaining this desirable
end. The President and Fellows have appointed Sir William
Smyly, Sir Andrew Horne, and Dr. Hastings Tweedy as a deputation
to wait on youbto discuss the provisions of the proposed bill
and to enquire whether the Local Government Board for Ireland
would undertake to promote it. I shall be much obliged if you
will inform me if you will receive this deputation and if you
will fix a date for hearing the gentlemen named. I remain, Dear Sir,
Yours faithfully,
Fellow & Registrar.
