To Michael Murphy
Irish Prisoner
Lewes. Dear Miceal I have been told that you are
stationed at Lewes and although I haven't seen
your name in the list myself. I'm hoping it's
correct. If this does happen to get you, would
you please give me some particulars about
Jack Hurley who was wounded at Church St.
His mother is very distraught over hearing
nothing at all. G Ward tells me you know.
Was he badly wounded? And was any
provision made on that fateful Saturday
evening for his removal. Kindly also give the
exact place. My brother is going to Dublin
again to make further enquiries.

How are you getting on? & what
do you think of things? You know, I
expect just about what we know & that's
damn little. Your other friends in this
place are as well as can be expected.
No need to tell you keep your heart up.
We'll meet again before the resurrections. Best wishes ,
Michael Collins.
