Skibbereen
Co. Cork April 24th 1916. Dear Sir, I am the wife of
a naval Reservist who was
called up at the beginning
of the war. I stored my
furniture last September at
2
Pat Ross' of Cork Furniture
Removers. I have now found
a nice little cottage around here
and would like to have a home
ready for my husband, but
Pat Ross wants to charge me
thirteen pounds to move from
Cork here though he would
have it done last September
from Queenstown for twelve
pounds, though the distance
is fourteen miles further. Can I appeal to anyone
against such overcharge. I am willing to pay eight
pounds which I consider
reasonable the distance being
fifty miles. Thanking you in anticipation Yours truly Margt Murphy
c/o Mrs Keohane
