your journey to Dublin
allright. We were hoping
to have a line from you;
I have no doubt it will
come in a day or so. The
weather was, I think, pleas—
ant for travelling, and I
dare say the sea was fairly
calm. If you had gone
the previous day you would
have found it pretty rough, if
one may judge from the con— 2 dition of the waves. We are
both well, thank God, but have
no news. There can be no
doubt that the women here
are taking advantage of the
chances offered them. They are
crowding into all the out—
door employments in which
their services are demanded and
in a great many of the offi—
ces they are performing the
work of clerks and book—
keepers. They are getting very
good wages, but not such high
pay as the men whom they re—
place got. It is probable there
will be ructions on the subject
after the war. Take good care of your health
