Co. Mayo 10th May 1916 Sir Having learned that a Censorship of
inland letters is to be immediately established
in Ireland, I beg to offer my service to
the Board of Censors. I am ineligible for Military service and
am at present unemployed. I am a
trained National Teacher and have spent
five years as Assistant in a N.S. Two
years ago a nervous breakdown forced me
to resign. I am strong enough now to resume
work and have been so for some time
but my illness is militating against my
obtaining a suitable school I have a fairly good knowledge of Irish
should the consideration of such
application as this not come within
your jurisdiction I would respectfully
request you to forward it to the proper
quarter or inform me to whom I should
apply Awaiting a reply, and thanking
