This is a letter from Henry Arthur Wynne (1867-1943), the chief crown solicitor for Ireland from 1916 to 1922, to Hugh Magrane. The letter regards the a previous letter sent by Magrane regarding the death of his cousin Alice Martin (1844-1916), in which he requested governmental help in claiming Martin's insurance. In this letter, Wynne denies the request.
