19th January, 1916. Sir, I am directed to inform you that you have been
approved for a temporary Commission as Lieutenant
in the Army Veterinary Corps, and to request that
you will be good enough to proceed to the Curragh
on the 9th February, 1916, and report yourself to
the Officer Commanding, Station Veterinary Hospital,
Curragh, for duty. I am to add that should you prefer, you can
postpone obtaining your uniform etc. until after you
have joined for duty, when you will receive every
advice and assistance. I am,
