Postcard addressed to Nora Cotter (1865 - 1942). The front of the postcard shows a
the military examining parcels before allowing visitors to see prisoners from the
‘Sinn Féin Rebellion’ of Easter Week 1916. On the reverse of the card there is a quick
message sending regards to Nora. Nora was the widow of Richard Cotter, who took a
prominent part in the Irish Nationalist movement. Several members of her family were
involved in the 1916 Rising and War of Independence.
