              DUBLIN CASTLE    23rd March 1916 <lb/>Elizabeth Hogg decd.   Dear Sir,   I submitted your letter and copy affidavit of John Duff<lb/>to the Attorney General for his directions.     It appears by the affidavit that Dr McIvor was present when<lb/>the alleged delivery of the Deposit Receipt was made to Mr John<lb/>Duff.   As the validity of a <seg type="foreign">donatio mortis causa</seg> depends upon     what exactly took place at the time of the gift — &amp; the circumstances     under which it was made, The physical &amp; mental condition of the donor     &amp; whether she contemplated immediate death   The Attorney General would be glad to receive from Dr McIvor<lb/>a statement of what occurred on the occasion and <seg type="del">I have written to<lb/>him accordingly</seg>   I should be glad if you could get       one from him &amp; send it to me <seg type="del">  </seg> as soon as convenient.
