 Listowel 4.4.23 Dear Mrs. Daly, How can I in thisawful hour of our greatsorrow write to you. But my heart isyearning for one wordof consolation from you,your letter gave mesuch consolation, whenyou wrote last time. I often think to myself and ask, I wonder how is Mrs. Daly feeling, I try to bear up like you, for I know you are brave, you feel so closely connected to me now. Isn't our two brave boys sleeping side by side, they shared each other's joy's & sorrows', everybody in Donegal was so kind & good to them. They all spoke of howbravely they went to theirdeath. But I never canthink they are dead at all. Dear Mrs. Daly I amsending you a copy ofJimmy's letter, I wouldlike to get one from you,I would also like to geta photo as I will framethem together, I willsend you a memorialcard when I will get them Oh Dear wasn't it awfulwhen I think of it totake their young lifeWhen we thought theywere safe . But God knowsbest, I hope you willpray for me to be consoled& I will pray for you& your dear boy. Thegood God is the bestfriend now.
