I know that youmust be anxious to know if I got yourletters. I'm glad to be able to tell you thatthey have all reached me safely. Twas onlythis morning that I received that you wrote onthe 6th inst & the other written on the eveof your departure from London. Rather acoincidence! wasn't it that I shouldget them on the same day as you enteredthe convent? I also got the books& accompanying note as well as yourreply to my first letter written from here,only on Thursday last or else I wouldhave acknowledged them before youleft London. As you know all letters & 2 parcels to us were held on account of ourrefusal to work, but seeing that theirtreatment of us hadn't the desired effectthey gave it up and so on Thursday wegot back to our Status quo & got what-ever parcels & letters were due to us (Another victory for the Reps!) when youinformed me that you had written on the6th to the add. which I gave you I wasvery much afraid lest it should get loston account of my being arrested in themeanwhile so you can guess how gladI was when it turned up this morning Iwas quite pleased with its contents & withall the home news which it contained.The Censor here hadn't the satisfaction of seeingit or perhaps I wouldn't have got it atall & that would indeed be a greatpity. I should regret to have missed it forthere was lots of news which I was anxiouslyawaiting. It will be a loss to me in futurethat I wont be any longer able to get 4way uneasy for the future. Should I by anychance ever find myself in the same position asany of the four chaps my only anxiety wouldbe I get the Sacraments before going. A matter likethat should make anybody anxious and youknow the present attitude of the priests. Pray forme Katty, that no matter when I die or howthat it shall have the grace of a happy death,thats all that really matters in the end. AsI informed you already I havent forgotten tosay that little prayer for you. Indeed I havelots of time for that at present. I am quitecertain that you will be quite content inyour new life, my most sincere wish & prayeris that you will. I must now wind up Iwould not have written so much but I maynot easily get another chance of writing in thisway. You see like the last one I sending itwithout the knowledge of my keepers or theirCensor. I dont know how long we shall behere, but we are having a good enoughtime now.
