              P41/4/1/1 <lb/><lb/> Listowel <lb/><lb/> 4. 4. 23    Dear Mrs Daly   How can I in this<lb/>awful hour of our great<lb/>sorrow write to you,  But my heart is<lb/>yearning for one word<lb/>of consolation from you,<lb/>your letter gave me<lb/>such consolation, when<lb/>you wrote last time,

             2)<lb/>I often think to myself<lb/>and ask, I wonder how<lb/>is Mrs Daly feeling, I try<lb/>to bear up like you, for<lb/>I know you are brave<lb/>you feel so closely<lb/>connected to me now,<lb/><sic>Isn't</sic> our two brave boys<lb/>sleepin side by side<lb/>they shared each other's<lb/><sic>joy's</sic> or <sic>sorrow's</sic>, everybody<lb/>in Donegal was so kind<lb/>and good to them

             3)<lb/>They all spoke of how<lb/>bravely they went to their<lb/>death, But I never can<lb/>think they are dead atall,<lb/>Dear Mrs Daly I am<lb/>sending you a copy of<lb/>Timmy's letters, I would<lb/>like to get one from you,<lb/>I would also like to get<lb/>a photo as I will frame<lb/>them together, I will<lb/>send you a Memorial<lb/>card when I will get them

             4)<lb/>Oh Dear, wasn't it awful<lb/>when I think of it to<lb/>take their young life<lb/>when we thought they<lb/>were safe. But God knows<lb/>best, I hope you will<lb/>pray for me to be consoled<lb/>and I will pray for you<lb/>and your dear boy. The<lb/>good God is the best<lb/>friend now.
