He spent the whole week inDublin & was twice disappointed bythe D.E. who made appointmentswith him. He was in a fix & did notknow what to do and happening tomeet one of my men he came righton here with him to see me.He left again yesterday to try& hunt up the D.E. & will probablygo home tomorrow for a few days.I suppose his people must be wor(ryi)ng what has become of him for (he)was to go home last week.I think that he will be to this place alright. I expect Freewill not like it but he can affordto do without him better than I can.Of course twould be much nicerfor Mick to be at home. Hesaid that he would call aroundto see ye when at home. He isgreat sport & has some goodyarns. So Jim McCarthy is gettingmarried to Mrs Brennan. Let meknow when the wedding is so thatI may send him a note.
