This letter concerns the case of the sister of soldier, John Dalton, who applied for a dependent's allowance. Mr Simpson is forwarding documents from Customs and Excise to the Chief Crown Solicitor in Dublin in connection with this claim and wishes the necessary action to be taken to prosecute the dependent in accordance with the instructions. A note appended shows that this letter was forwarded by M. Kelly, Chief Crown Solicitor, to the Solicitor General who in another note recommends prosecution as this is a serious case which should be pressed.
