Pre-printed postcard addressed to Nancy McCarthy at school from her uncle George D. Roche acknowledging receipt of her letter. Nancy McCarthy was a well-practised letter-writer, and her collection of correspondence spans eighty years. This postcard is one of seven included in the Letters of 1916 collection written to Nancy by her uncle, George D. Roche, on active service with the 7th London regiment during World War I.
