[Questionable reading.] 11:5:16<lb/><lb/> Sir, I gather from press reports that a number of<lb/>vacancies are occurring in Irish Government Offices by<lb/>reason of the expulsion of Sinn Feiners. If there is<lb/>a vacancy which I could fill I am anxious to apply for it,<lb/>and shall therefore feel indebted to you if you would be<lb/>so good as to give me any available information. I am at present employed by the Liverpool<lb/>Corporation, in the Town Clerk's Department, previously <hi rend="superscript">to</hi> which<lb/>I was in the Court of Passage department, having entered<lb/>the Corporation service after some years of experience<lb/>in the office of Messrs J.F.Read and Brown, Solicitors,<lb/>Liverpool. <lb/>I am in my twenty fifth year. I may say that I have paid considerable attention<lb/>to the subject of Local Government, and to legal study<lb/>generally, having attended the lectures on Local<lb/>Government organised by the National Association of Local<lb/>Government Offices, and also the Courses organised by the<lb/>Liverpool University Board of Legal Studies on High Court<lb/>procedure, and lectures in the same subjects under the<lb/>Liverpool School of Commerce. I have been definitely rejected by the Military<lb/>Authorities, and possess the armlet distributed to rejected<lb/>men. I am of course, a speedy Shorthand-typist. <lb/>-1-
