             22 March 16  <lb/>1526/16   Sir   Your letter of the 21st inst-<lb/>recd.  I would inform you that<lb/>I have not stated I possess any<lb/>power as to the appointment of<lb/><seg type="unclear">Mr</seg>   R.S.   I have called attention<lb/>to the fact that the <seg type="unclear">statute</seg>, and<lb/>order of the Lord Lieutenant<lb/>do <seg type="del">oct</seg> not permit certain persons<lb/>to act.  The matter of request<lb/>of <seg type="unclear">actn</seg>R.G. <seg type="unclear">Clerks</seg> is in the discretion<lb/>of the Lord Lieutenant.
