He was ordained in 1885 and in 1904 became Bishop of Killaloe, holding this office until his death in 1955. John Francis Hogan, born in County Clare, was a priest, author and President of St Patrick's College, Maynooth. Fogarty is writing to Hogan in connection with W.Ryan's ordination. </p>
