This is a brief letter written by the Most Reverend James Browne (1842-1917) to Monsignor John F. Hogan, president of of St Patrick's College, Maynooth. James Browne was serving as bishop of Ferns at the time that this letter was written. Browne is writing to Hogan in hopes of sending him a cheque for two pounds for the memorial to Dr Whitehead.
