            <lb/> P152/4   The Presbytery,<lb/> Dockhead,<lb/> Bermondsey, S. E.   July 4. 1916   My dear Child   God will bless you<lb/> and yours for all you are<lb/> doing for this dear Soul. The<lb/> Cardinal sent for me last<lb/> Evening and gave me full<lb/> faculties to deal with Sir<lb/> Roger. So I wrote to Fr Carey<lb/> last night to get Sir Roger<lb/> to ask for permission for me<lb/> to see him alone on spiritual<lb/> matters as often as is necessary.<lb/> I mean to see him daily<lb/> As soon as the permission comes all will be well.<lb/> And bless God who has<lb/> chosen you to be his Instrument<lb/> in bringing peace to this dear

            soul and joy to the<lb/> millions who are praying<lb/> for him, all over the<lb/> world. And Gavan has<lb/> done his share well. And<lb/> pray for me that I may<lb/> do my share faithfully<lb/> and well.
