               <p>This is a letter from Thomas Maguire (b.1863), solicitor to Henry Arthur Wynne (1867-1943), the chief crown solicitor for Ireland. The letter regards the death of Helena Doyle (1866-1916). He states that Doyle was a spinster and that, as far as he knows her estate comes to £18. 10. 0, however her funeral and hospital costs have come to £19. Maguire wishes to inform Wynne about his inability to find any next of kin, requesting instruction regarding the issue.  </p>

             The Chief Crown Solicitor <lb/>Chief Secretary's office <lb/>DUBLIN CASTLE   19th May 1916.  <lb/><hi rend="underline">Re Miss Helena Doyle Deceased.</hi>  Dear Sir,   The above, who I understand was a Spinster and lived at <lb/>Brookfield Street Belfast, died at the Mater Hospital, Belfast, on 11th <lb/>January 1916, Intestate   So far as I can see from the papers handed to me the whole <lb/>estate, consisting of Policies of Assurance and small balance in Savings <lb/>Bank, amounts to about £18. 10. 0, and the claims against the estate, <lb/>Funeral expenses, Hospital charges, and incidental expenses after death, <lb/>come to about £19. 0. 0.    Up to the present I have not been able to trace and next of kin.   I shall be glad to have your instruction touching the <lb/>administration of the estate.   Yours faithfully,   <hi rend="underline">Tho.Maguire</hi>
