This letter was written by Owen Brien (d. 1924), superintendent of the Dublin Metropolitan Police Force to Walter Edgeworth-Johnstone (1863–1937), the chief commissioner of the DMP. In the letter Brien notes that Francis Gerald Kitts has not registered in the Dublin Metropolitan Police district since the 20th of the prior month.
