                12th May 1916  <lb/>108/Engrs/1670 <lb/>(W/Accounts.3)  Sir,   With reference to your letter of 25th ulto I note that pay- <lb/>ment of Separation Allowance to Mr Butler has been stopped. <lb/>It is not within my knowledge that she is still in receipt of <lb/>such and as the Police appear to have made <sic>everu</sic> enquiry into <lb/>this case I fear it is not possible to take further steps in <lb/>the matter. I accordingly beg to return all papers. <seg type="closer"> I am, <lb/>Sir, <lb/>Your obedient servant  A. P. Lynch <lb/>ACC Sol.
