 12th May 1916 108/Engrs/1670 (W/Accounts.3) Sir, With reference to your letter of 25th ulto I note that pay- ment of Separation Allowance to Mr Butler has been stopped. It is not within my knowledge that she is still in receipt of such and as the Police appear to have made everu enquiry into this case I fear it is not possible to take further steps in the matter.
