Letter from J. Stratton to Father Thomas V Nolan (1867-1941) regarding Fr Shaw's return to Ireland.Father Thomas V Nolan was the Provincial of the Irish Province of the Society of Jesus (1912-1922) and was a member of the Distribution Committee which looked after the welfare and distribution of the Belgian refugees who arrived in Ireland as a consequence of the First World War.

I am glad you understand the difficulty of bringing people like Fr. Shaw home, it is not everybody who is so patient when they asked for men. You can be sure of him and all the other Frs. you require by the date you mention. Fr. Wrafter will be coming almost immediately and also Fr. Morris, the others will come out as quickly as they can be spared. I will try what I can do with regard to the passages to Australia.
