May it please Your Majesty, The Presbytery of Ireland in connection with the United Free Church of Scotland at their first meeting after the recent outbreak of rebellion in this country desire to express loyalty to Your Majesty's Throne and to the constitution of the United Kingdom. They deplore the spirit manifested in the rising in Dublin, with the distressing loss of valuable lives: they sympathize with all who have suffered, and rejoice that order has been so speedily restored.
