This is a letter from Elizabeth Francis Neill (b. 1861) to Augusta Caroline Dillon, Lady Clonbrock (1840-1928). Clonbrock was a prominent member of the Irish Women's Association, founded to provide aid and assistance to Irish soldiers and prisoners of war and the wife of Luke Gerald Dillon, 4th Baron Clonbrock. In the letter, Neill thanks Clonbrock for her sympathy over the death of her husband, Richard Herbert Neill (1859-1916). The letter goes on to say that Neill will pass on what Clonbrock has said about the election of a new secretary, stating that the ladies of the tea room will be glad that the position is filled by Charles Joseph Botterill (1862-1959).
