This is a reply from Joseph Brennan to William Phillip Miles (b. 1878). The letter states that in reply to Miles' application for a position in Dublin Castle, there will be no positions deemed suitable for Miles' case. Joseph Brennan (1887-1976) was an Irish civil servant acting as private-secretary to Robert Chalmers (1858-1938), the under-secretary for Ireland.
