This is a letter from James Jackson Clark (1846-1926), a Colonel from Derry. The letter is written during the period of martial law in Ireland following the Easter Rising. In the letter he requests a pass to travel to England from Belfast to Liverpool or from Kingstown to Holyhead. He also requests a pass for his son-in-law.
