This is a letter from Eileen Murray (b. 1882), Dublin resident, to the Government Compensations Claim Office. The letter is written over two weeks after the Easter Rising and concerns items Mrs Murray loaned to the British military during the Rising. She requests 10 shillings in compensation for a list of items. Mrs Murray goes on to note that the only item that has been returned had been destroyed and broken by the military.
